A man has been charged over the alleged murder of a nine-week-old baby boy in Sydney’s west earlier this year.
The 46-year-old was taken into custody by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad at a home at Auburn about 5.20am yesterday.
The arrest comes following ongoing investigations into the suspicious death of the infant, who was was found unresponsive at a home in Auburn on June 27.

The baby was rushed to Auburn Hospital before being transferred to Sydney Children’s Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition until being removed from life support about a month later.
The man, who is known to the baby, has since been charged with murder and is due to appear in Burwood Local Court today.
