A Queensland man has been charged with child sex offences allegedly committed against a young girl in the NSW Riverina more than twelve years ago.
NSW detectives, with the assistance of the Townsville Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Unit, managed to track down the now 37-year-old in Townsville on Monday following ongoing investigations.
He was issued with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offences of sexual intercourse with a person aged over 14 and under 16 years (four counts), and two counts of aggravated indecent assault.

Police say the charges relate to an incident in 2006, in which a 14-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in her home in Lavington, near Albury, by a man known to her.
The man is due to appear in Albury Local Court on Tuesday 18 December.
