A MAN has been charged over the alleged attempted abduction of an 11-year-old girl in Brisbane’s north.
Detectives have spent the last four days hunting the 29-year-old following the alleged attack at Lawnton on Saturday.
It’s alleged the local man approached the young girl as she walked along the Francis Road overpass about 3.02pm and grabbed her by the waist before dragging her to the ground.

It’s understood members of the public confronted the man who fled the scene in a black Holden Captiva that had been parked nearby on Park Lane.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested the 29-year-old man on Wednesday.
He was charged with taking a child for an immoral purpose, indecent treatment of a child and assault occasioning bodily harm and is due to appear before the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Thursday.
