Man charged over Gold Coast stabbing

A MAN has been charged after allegedly stabbing another man in the back on the Gold Coast.

It happened at a unit complex on Marine Parade in Labrador about 6.30pm on Saturday, June 29.

Police said two men, aged 21 and 28, became involved in an altercation at the address before the younger man allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the older man.


The 28-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

His injuries were no life-threatening.

The younger man has since been arrested and charged with wounding and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
