Man charged over nail gun shooting

A COOLANGATTA man accused of shooting at another man with a nail gun during an incident on Friday has been charged.

It’s alleged a man arrived a Dutton Street address in Coolangatta around 1.20pm and was fired upon by someone inside.

Police will allege a man armed with a nail gun fired nails in the victims direction from with inside a unit at the address.

Thankfully, no nails struck the victim and he was able to leave the scene without harm.

A 52-year-old man will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with one count of assault.
