UPDATE: A MAN has been charged over the theft of Piggie the echidna from her enclosure at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Her theft made national headlines yesterday, after it was revealed, the spikey creature had allegedly been stolen on Saturday night by two masked men.
Around 6pm Monday, Piggie was mysteriously found back inside her enclosure, a little rattled but otherwise well.

It’s believed the sanctuary received a phone call, letting them know where to find Piggie.
Police began questioning a man, 24, shortly after and he has this morning been charged with receiving tainted property and animal cruelty.
He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
