Man charged over terrifying knife-point robbery of kids in park

A man has been charged after two boys were allegedly robbed at knife point while in a Logan park yesterday.

The boys were in a park on Eddy Avenue in Edens Landing around 10.30am on Tuesday when they were confronted by the man who was armed with a flick knife.

Police say the 20-year-old allegedly demanded the pair hand over their scooters, a mobile phone and an electronic speaker before he fled the scene with the property.

Following investigations, officers tracked down the man at a home in Delanty Court where he was arrested a short time later.

He was charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon.

The man is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
