Varsity Lakes man killed in botched robbery

FURTHER UPDATE: A PROSTITUTE linked to the death of a man in Varisty Lakes is reportedly on the run.


Police are looking for 35-year-old Milan Walker in relation to the death of Gregory Hudson who died in October.


It’s been revealed Ben Ghobrial allegedly drove her to his Mr Hudson’s home in a bid to steal drugs and cash from the home.

UPDATE: A MAN accused of killing a Varsity Lakes man has been remanded in custody.

Gregory John Hudson was found dead, naked and bound by his roommate at their Mulgrave Cresent home last month.

Police allege accused killer Ben Ghobrial drove a prostitute to Hudson’s home, before storming in to steal cash and cocaine.

He’s been charged with manslaughter, enter with intent and robbery whilst armed and in company.

Police claim Hudson was found with arms bound and had been gagged before being found dead in the alleged robbery gone wrong.

There were reports at the time, a prostitute had run out of the house screaming something bad had happened before jumping in to a taxi.

He’s been remanded in custody at Southport Court this morning until at least February of 2015.

No bail application was made for the manslaughter charge.

EARLIER: A MAN has been charged over the death of a man in a Varsity Lakes home last month.

57-year-old Gregory John Hudson was located deceased in his Mulgrave Crescent residence on October 23.

A woman reportedly found him dead in the home tied to a chair.

A massive investigation has lead to the arrest and charging of a 24-year-old man from Southport with manslaughter, enter with intent and robbery whilst armed and in company.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.

Police investigations are continuing.
