A man has been charged over a road-rage attack at Southport last month that was caught on camera.
Two drivers became involved in an altercation on Olsen Ave on Monday, February 11 after a 39-year-old man claimed he was cut off by another vehicle.
The cars then stopped at the lights at Crestwood Drive where it’s alleged a man got out of his car and approached the 39-year-old’s vehicle where an argument broke out.

The man then continued driving when the light turned green before the man pulled up again about 100 metres down the road.
According to Police, the man approached the 39-year-old’s vehicle again where he tried to break his side mirror, before allegedly stealing his dash-cam and running back to his car.
The 39-year-old then exited his own vehicle and approached the other man’s car, demanding he return his dash cam before removing the keys from the car’s ignition.
The other man is then alleged to have punched the 39-year-old in the face several times, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the road before driving off.
The 39-year-old was later treated at the Gold Coast University Hospital for facial bruising and a cut lip.
On Sunday, Police arrested a 29-year-old man after executing a search warrant at a home in Benowa.
He’s been charged with one count each of robbery, wilful damage and possessing a restricted drug and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today.
