Man charged over violent stabbing at NSW home

A man has been charged following a stabbing at a home in Albury last night.

About 11.30pm Thursday 22 October 2015, emergency services were called to a home on Thurgoona Street, following reports of an assault.

Initial investigations suggest an altercation took place between two men, both aged 30, who were known to each other.


During the altercation, one of the men allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the other in the arm.

Following the stabbing, a further altercation took place between the two men, resulting in the first man receiving a stab wound to his leg.

During the altercation, two further men intervened and assaulted one of the men.

The two men with stab wounds were treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Albury Base Hospital.

At the home, police arrested a 32-year-old-man. He was taken to Albury Police Station where he was charged with affray.

He has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Albury Local Court on 10 November 2015.

Investigations are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
