A man has been charged with sexual intercourse with a child aged 10 – 16 after he allegedly procured a 12-year-old girl online before meeting up with her in person.
Detectives arrested the 21-year-old man at a unit in Bankstown yesterday after executing a search warrant at the home, seizing a mobile phone, computers, laptops and cameras.
Police said it’s alleged the man met the girl on social media before persuading her to meet up with him.

He has been charged with sexual intercourse with child aged 10 – 16 and use a carriage service to procure persons under 16 years of age.
The man was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today.
The incident has prompted police to issue a reminder, urging parents and children to be mindful of the dangers associated with the internet.
