A young man has been charged after allegedly punching a woman and slamming her into the ground in Sydney’s Inner West this morning.
It’s alleged the 26-year-old woman was arguing with a friend on Enmore Road in Enmore at around 4am when she was approached by a 20-year-old man.
Police said the man allegedly punched the woman and threw her to the ground.

It’s further alleged the man kicked the woman as she lay injured on the ground.
She was left bruised and covered in grazes.
Police were called and arrested the man nearby.
He was taken to Newtown Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Newtown Local Court on Thursday 28 July.
