A man has been charged over the alleged repeated sexual assault of four young girls known to him.
The 57-year-old was arrested at a home at Queanbeyan about 8.20am yesterday, following an ongoing investigation by Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad.
Detectives launched the investigation after recently receiving reports two girls were sexually assaulted at different times a number of years ago by a man known to them.

During the investigation, a further two women also reported that they were sexually assaulted by the same man more than a decade ago.
The man has since been charged with 11 counts of sexual intercourse with child under 10, three counts of attempted sexual intercourse with child under 10, aggravated sexual intercourse, five counts of aggravated indecent assault, and four counts aggravated act of indecency.
Police will allege in court the four girls were sexually assaulted on numerous occasions between 2000 and 2011 when they were aged between five and 13.
The man was refused bail to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court today.
