Man charged after running over his neighbour during heated dispute

A man has been charged after he allegedly ran over his neighbour during a heated dispute at a unit complex in Freshwater yesterday.

Police said that around 3.30pm, two men became involved in an argument in the carpark.

During the confrontation, one of the men, aged 42, got into his vehicle and drove towards the 51-year-old man causing him to fall onto the bonnet and smash the windscreen.

The 51-year-old suffered multiple fractures and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The driver was arrested at the complex and taken to Manly Hospital for mandatory testing before being taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

He was refused bail to appear in Manly Local Court today.
