Man charged with allegedly sexually assaulting 85yo man as he slept
A MAN has been charged after he allegedly broke into an elderly man’s home and sexually assaulted him on two separate occasions.
Police said the first assault happened about a week ago, when the 58-year-old man broke into the 85-year-old’s home at Roselands in Sydney’s south west, and sexually assaulted him as he slept.
A few days later, about 9pm on Friday 6 October, the man again entered the home of the 85-year-old and allegedly sexually assaulted him.
After being alerted to the incidents, officers arrested the 58-year-old man at a home in Punchbowl on Sunday.
He was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with aggravated sexual assault – break and enter with intent (x2); attempted sexual assault (x2); and indecent assault (x2).
Police said it’s understood the two men had been known to each other for a short time.
