A MAN has been arrested and charged with multiple child sex offences after allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulting a young boy at a house in the NSW Hunter region.
The 34-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting the teenage boy multiple times while he was in his care at his house in Cessnock between January and October 2017.
The 34-year-old man was arrested by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad at his home on Thursday night.

He was taken to the local police station where he was charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault – victim under authority, and attempted aggravated sexual assault of child.
The man was refused bail and due to appear in Cessnock Local Court this afternoon.
Police said the boy no longer lives with the man.
