A man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl has handed himself in after NSW police made an appeal to the public yesterday.
Police said the 37-year-old man attended Chatswood Police Station about 1.40pm on Monday, where he was arrested by Child Abuse Squad detectives.
According to detectives, the then 14-year-old girl began engaging online with a man in early 2015.

The girl is then alleged to have met up with the man on a number of occasions between February 2015 and January 2016 and had sex, police say.
The Chatswood man was charged with twelve counts of sexual intercourse with person aged 14 to 16 and nine counts of engaging in acts of child prostitution.
