Man charged over spate of Gold Coast, Brisbane carpark robberies

A man has been charged following investigations into the theft of vehicles and personal property from secure carparks and garages on the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

The 31-year-old from Mount Gravatt was arrested at a home in Runcorn on August 9.

Qld police allege that since April 2017, a large amount of vehicles and property were stolen from secure carparks and garages in numerous areas spanning from Brisbane’s north to the Gold Coast, including Norman Park, New Farm, Albion, Coorparoo, Eight Mile Plains and Southport.

The man has been charged with up to 95 offences including 33 counts of enter premises, 15 counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles, 12 counts of receiving tainted property, 11 counts of stealing and five counts of burglary.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 24.
