A GOLD Coast police officer will undergo disease testing after being spat on by a 24-year-old man in Nerang.
Two officers were called to a house on Nerang River Drive at 7.15pm on Sunday night following reports of a disturbance.
It will be alleged a man became aggressive to the police after they entered the house before spitting in one of their faces as they tried to restrain him.

The male Senior Constable was given first aid at the scene and will undergo disease testing.
The offender has been charged with one count of serious assault police and one count of obstruct police and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on June 30.
