Man charged after Sydney CBD business evacuated over threatening call

A man has been charged with making a threatening phone call, forcing the evacuation of an office building in the Sydney CBD yesterday.

About 11.40am, emergency services were called to an office building on Lee Street after a threatening call was made.

Officers evacuated the building as a precaution.

A short time later, a 27-year-old man was arrested outside the building.

He was taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with give false information person/property in danger.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Central Local Court today.
