Man charged after teen’s teeth damaged in attack at Tamborine house party

A 25-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly bashed a teenager at a house party at Tamborine, west of the Gold Coast has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

Police said the man bailed the 19-year-old male up at the Pendennis Road property in the small village of Tamborine, around 20 kilometres north-west of Tamborine Mountain, on Sunday, September 3.

It was around 11.30pm when the 19-year-old was allegedly attacked. Police said the victim was a guest at the party and was punched and kicked multiple times in the alleged assault.

The 19-year-old was left with several damaged teeth and covered in lacerations to his head and body.

Following investigations, the 25-year-old was yesterday arrested by detectives from the Logan CIB.

The Eagleby man was charged with grievous bodily harm and will front Beenleigh Magistrates Court next month.

Police said the two men were not known to each other.
