Man charged with attempted murder after fight with neighbour ends in frenzied stabbing

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following the frenzied stabbing attack of another man at a unit block in South Penrith overnight.

Police say the 22-year-old victim was found inside a unit on Fragar Road suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body at around 6.30pm on Friday.

It’s alleged he had been stabbed repeatedly with a kitchen knife following an argument with a neighbour.


He was rushed to Westmead Hospital for treatment to his injuries which police say are not considered life threatening.

A short time later, a 44-year-old man walked into Penrith Police Station, where he was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

He was refused bail and scheduled to front Parramatta Local Court today.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
