Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing woman at Sydney office block

A man has been charged with attempted murder after stabbing a woman at Darlinghurst yesterday.

About 2.20pm, a man entered an office block on William Street, allegedly armed with a knife.

The man stabbed a female employee in the hand, and she also sustained a small wound to the face, before he was brought under control.

Police were called and arrived a short time later, taking the 23-year-old man into custody.

The injured woman, aged 28, was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At Kings Cross Police Station, the man was charged with attempted murder and intentional wounding.

He was refused bail, and is due to appear in Central Local Court today.
