Man charged with attempted murder after woman thrown from balcony

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly throwing a woman from a balcony during a domestic incident in Sydney.

Emergency services were called to a unit block on Moorehead Road in Redfern about 9.30pm last night following reports of a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers found a 39-year-old woman with serious injuries after she was allegedly thrown from a first floor balcony.


She was rushed to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

A 45-year-old man was arrested at the unit and taken to Redfern Police Station, where he was charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear at Central Local Court today.
