A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Sydney’s south-west earlier this week.
About 2am on Monday (14 September 2015), a 59-year-old man met a 45-year-old man, who was known to him, on Goulburn Street, Liverpool.
An altercation took place during which the younger man allegedly stabbed the older man in the abdomen.

The 54-year-old was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he underwent surgery and remains in a stable condition.
Police from Liverpool Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Yesterday (Thursday 17 September 2015), detectives arrested the 45-year-old man at a medical centre in Merrylands.
He was taken to Merrylands Police Station where he was charged with attempted murder.
He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Friday 18 September).
