Man charged with contract killing of Sydney nightclub identity John Macris

A BULGARIAN man has been charged over the suspected contract killing of Sydney nightclub identity, John Macris.

The man’s brother is also wanted on suspicion of having helped plan the murder of the 46-year-old Greek Australia, who was fatally shot outside his home in an Athens seaside suburb last year.

Greek authorities believe the 33-year-old brother was behind the wheel of the alleged killer’s getaway car on October 31 2018.

Macris was ambushed and shot multiple times at close range while getting out of his car outside his home in the Voula suburb.

The suspects’ names have not been made public and it is still not clear who ordered the execution.
