Man charged with glassing 50yo man at NSW pub

A man has been charged after an alleged glassing in Surry Hills.

About 5pm yesterday (Wednesday 12 August 2015), a 42-year-old man and a 50-year-old man were drinking at a bar on Devonshire Street, when they became involved in an argument.

The younger man allegedly punched the older man whilst holding a glass, causing a significant injury to the older man’s left ear.

Police from Surry Hills Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

They subsequently attended an address in Redfern where the 42-year-old man was arrested.

He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and charged with recklessly inflict grievous bodily harm.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on 3 September 2015.
