Man charged with murder after allegedly stabbing man to death outside methadone clinic

A MAN has been charged with murder over the alleged stabbing death of another man at Wollongong.

The 39-year-old was allegedly stabbed in the chest during a fight with a 52-year-old man outside a methadone clinic on Denison Street just before 6am on Friday.

The victim was taken to Wollongong Hospital where police said he later died of his injuries.


The 52-year-old man handed himself into officers at Wollongong Police Station on Tuesday.

He was questioned by homicide detectives and has since been charged with one count of murder.

The older man was remanded in custody overnight and was due to front Wollongong Local Court today.
