Man charged with murder after body found

A MAN has been charged with murder following the discovery of a body on Queensland’s Central Coast. 

The victim, a 57-year-old man, was found dead at an address on Todd Street in Yeppoon on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the home about 2.10pm and said initial inquiries indicated the man’s death was suspicious.

Following investigations, a 49-year-old man known to the deceased was arrested and taken in for questioning.

Queensland Police released a statement late on Friday night, confirming the man had been charged with murder. 

He is due to appear in the Yeppoon Magistrates Court on Monday. 

It is not known how the 57-year-old man died.
