Man charged with murder after “body in boot” mystery

A MAN’S been arrested and charged with murder after a man’s badly decomposed body was found stuffed in the boot of an abandoned car left nearby a busy Sydney bus stop.

Strike Force Metalwork detectives this morning arrested a 36-year-old Campsie man as he arrived in Sydney on an international flight from China. 

He was taken to Mascot Police Station where he was extensively quizzed over his involvement.


This afternoon, New South Wales police confirmed they had charged a man with murder.

The victim’s body was found in a green Honda Accord on East Street in Lidcombe, beside Rookwood Cemetery, on September 21.

He’s yet to be formally identified.
