A MAN has been charged with murder after allegedly killing a mother-of-two at a home in regional Victoria.
Firefighters found the woman’s badly injured body inside a house in Mount Pleasant at Ballarat about 8am on Friday.
They were responding to reports of smoke coming from the Kenworthy Place home and located the body after extinguishing the ‘small fire’.

The woman has since been identified as mother-of-two Dannyll Goodsell who moved to Victoria three years ago.
It’s understood Ms Goodsell, whose age is not yet known, was originally from New South Wales and had a son and a daughter.
Police said the mother-of-two suffered serious injuries prior to her death and do not believe she died as a result of the fire.
The Mount Pleasant home was declared a crime scene and examined by detectives and forensic police.
Following investigations, homicide detectives arrested a 35-year-old man on Saturday afternoon.
He has since been charged with one count of murder and has been remanded in custody to appear in Ballarat Magistrates Court on Monday.
