Man charged with murder after police conducting welfare check find woman’s body

A MAN in his 50s has been charged with murder after allegedly killing his partner on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Police found the 46-year-old woman’s body at a house on North Arm Road at Argents Hill around 7.30pm on Friday.

It’s understood police had been sent to check on the woman’s welfare but instead found her dead at the property.

Police have not revealed how the woman died, or if she was found with any injuries.

A 56-year-old man known to her was arrested at the scene and taken to Kempsey Police Station where he was charged with murder (DV-related).

He is due to appear in Port Macquarie Local Court on Sunday.
