A MAN has been charged with murder after a cyclist was hit and killed by a ute in the NSW Riverina area early Sunday morning.
Police allege that around 2.00am, a Toyota Hilux ute collided with a bicycle on Currawang Avenue at Leeton.
The cyclist, a 33-year-old man, died at the scene.

Police said the driver of the ute allegedly failed to stop and render assistance to the critically injured man and drove off from the scene.
Following investigations, a 25-year-old man was arrested at Leeton Police Station on Monday and charged with murder.
He was refused bail and is due to appear before Griffith Local Court today.
Inquiries are continuing.
