A MAN has been charged with raping and choking two women in separate incidents on the NSW North Coast.
It’s understood the 46-year-old Ballina man first came to the attention of police in November last year after two of his former partners came forward and detailed a history of alleged sexual and physical abuse.
The women were in a relationship with the man when they were allegedly assaulted in 2013 and 2017.

Detectives established Strike force Addiscombe to investigate the allegations and arrested and charged the 46-year-old man with a list of offences last month.
Following further extensive investigations, the man was this week charged with an additional five offences.
They include intentionally choking a person with recklessness, three counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and aggravated sexual assault-threat to inflict actual bodily harm with weapon.
The man fronted Lismore Local Court on Wednesday where he was refused bail and ordered to reappear on May 21.
Investigations under Strike Force Addiscombe are continuing.
