A 29-year-old man will appear in court today after being charged over a violent daylight stabbing in Surfers Paradise..
Multiple officers were called to a unit along The Esplanade just before midday on Wednesday where they found a 33-year-old man with a serious laceration to his face.
It’s alleged two men and two women, who are all known to each other, got into a verbal altercation at the unit before things quickly turned violent.

Queensland Police will allege the 29-year-old man stabbed the other man in the face before using his hands to strike the chest of a 24-year-old woman who tried to help.
The 23-year-old man and 24-year-old woman left the room and went down to the lobby where they were met by emergency services.
Paramedics treated the man before transporting him in a stable condition to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Officers contained the unit block and arrested the 29-year-old man in a unit.
He has subsequently been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, common assault and breach of bail.
He’ll be in Southport Court later today.
