A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly brutally bashed a woman, believed to be his partner, at a home in Brisbane’s south overnight.
Police say the 35-year-old woman suffered severe facial and head injuries during the savage assault which took place inside a residence on Beeleigh Road, Sunnybank Hills at around two o’clock on Sunday morning.

Covered in blood, the woman stumbled onto street where she was rescued by passing motorists who rushed her to the Queen Elizabeth II hospital in Coopers Plains.
She was has since been transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with one count of attempted murder.
He is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police confirmed the pair are known to each other.
