AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with murder after allegedly killing a 64-year-old woman in Sydney’s west.
The woman was found in a critical condition, clinging to life with head injuries at a unit block on Sandal Crescent in Carramar just before 1.30pm on Saturday.
Despite the best efforts of police and paramedics to keep the woman alive, she could not be saved and died at the scene.

An 18-year-old man was allegedly spotted running away from the scene and was arrested following a short foot pursuit.
He was taken to Fairfield Police Station where he spent the afternoon being questioned by police.
In a statement this morning, A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed the young man had since been charged with one count of murder.
The man, from Airds, was remanded in custody overnight and is due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court later today.
Strike force Bilba has been formed to investigate the woman’s death.
The relationship between the man and the woman is not known.
