A man and child have been rescued from their crashed 4WD only moments before it was destroyed by fire south of Dubbo.
Emergency services were called to Yeoval, 40km south west of Wellington, about 4.40pm on Saturday, after the 4WD left Renshaw McGirr Way and hit a tree.
A passing motorist saw the crash and stopped to assist; despite seeing the 4WD on fire, the man smashed a window and removed a nine-year-old boy from the front passenger seat, then went back and rescued the driver, a 44-year-old man.
