Man and child missing from Gympie may be travelling to NSW, police say

POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man and child reported missing from Gympie, north of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

The 39-year-old man and 11-month-old boy (pictured above) were last seen by family in Gympie on Sunday 20 November. They have not been seen or heard from since.

Investigators believe the pair may be travelling to New South Wales, with information placing them in Stanthorpe on Wednesday 23 November.

Police say they hold concerns for their welfare as this behaviour is out of character.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm tall, of a slim build with short hair, while the boy is described as Caucasian in appearance with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police say the pair may be travelling in a black 2009 Ford XR6 (similar to the vehicle pictured above) with Queensland registration 818-VZR or New South Wales Registration BVL-27U.
