Man critical after being shot by Sydney police
A MAN is in a critical condition in a Sydney hospital after been shot during a confrontation with police on Tuesday morning.
The 45-year-old was hit in the chest after two officers went to a Macquarie Fields home at 1:20am to investigate reports of a domestic violence incident.
According to reports, the man drove off in and was pursued by police.
Officers are then said to have fired at him during a confrontation in the nearby suburb of Ingleburn.
He’s remains in a critical condition in Liverpool Hospital.
Investigations into the shooting are underway.
