Man critical after car slams into pole on Gold Coast
A man is fighting for life in hospital after a horror accident at Pacific Pines this morning.
The man’s car slammed into a pole on Pitcairn Way near the roundabout at Universal St around 5.15am.
The driver was trapped for some time before eventually being freed.
He was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition with a head injury.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
