A MAN is in a critical condition after being punched to the ground in a savage fight at a house party on the NSW Mid North Coast.
Early reports suggest a fight erupted between two men, aged 23 and 27, at the Wingham home, near Taree, at around 7pm.
It’s alleged during the fight, the younger man punched the older man, causing him to fall back and hit his head on the road.

The 27-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Manning Rural Hospital.
He has since been flown to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The 23-year-old man was arrested and conveyed to Taree Police Station for questioning.
He has since been charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm and has been granted conditional bail to appear at Taree Local Court on 3 November.
