Man ‘critical’ after six metre fall

A MAN has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after reportedly falling over a railing and tumbling six metres down an embankment at Beenleigh.

It happened on George Street just after midday.

It’s understood the man may have suffered a medical condition before or during the fall.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said although the man sustained no major visible injuries, his level of consciousness was concerning.

Paramedics were initially able to climb down and reach the man, before he was placed on a stretcher and pulled to the top of the embankment by firefighters.

The man has been rushed by ambulance to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
