Man repeatedly stabbed in horror daylight attack in Sydney

A man is in a critical condition after being repeatedly stabbed in a horror daylight attack at Campsie today.

About 11.30am, emergency services were called to the corner of Beamish and Amy streets.

On arrival, officers located a 37-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by Paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.


A crime scene has since been established with police hoping to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist.

He is described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance, with a light complexion, about 180cm tall with a solid build and aged between 40 and 50.

He has very short or balding hair, and wearing a light blue or grey hooded jumper with grey cargo pants, and he was last seen running north down Beamish Street towards the train station.
