Man critically injured in Logan crash dies in hospital

A MOTORCYCLIST critically injured in a two-vehicle crash at Logan has died in hospital.

The 40-year-old man was riding a motorcycle which collided with a car at the intersection of Beenleigh-Redland Bay Road and Logandale Boulevard in Cornubia just before midday on Tuesday.

The male rider suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision. He was rushed by ambulance to hospital where sadly he later passed away.

Police released a statement on Wednesday afternoon, confirming the man had succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 74-year-old woman, was not seriously injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
