Sadly, the young man could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death comes as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) on Thursday revealed that 120 people have been killed in DIY car maintenance accidents in Australia since the turn of the millennium (2000).
The ACCC said the deaths were usually caused by vehicles that fell because they were incorrectly lifted or not properly supported.
