Man dead after police shooting
A MAN has died after being shot twice by police at Redcliffe, north of Brisbane.
It’s understood two male officers were called to a home on Elizabeth Avenue on Monday night after tracing a number of hoax triple-0 calls.
According to the ABC things quickly turned violent with the man lunging at officers with a knife and the officers were forced to open fire on the 33-year-old.
Police are currently speaking to other residents who were inside the home at the time.
The Police Ethical Standards Command and the Crime and Corruption Commission were investigating.
