Man dead, another critical after horror crash with Qld school bus

A man has died and another is fighting for life after a school bus with 26 students on board collided with a 4WD near Gympie.

The horror crash happened at the intersection of Kin Kin and Wilsons Pocket roads in Wolvi around 3.40pm on Tuesday.

The driver of the 4WD, a 68-year-old man, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

His passenger, a 29-year-old man, sadly passed away at the scene.

The 53-year-old female bus driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

While all of the students on the bus managed to escape uninjured.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing, with police appealing for anyone with information into the crash to come forward.
