Man dead, two others injured in northern NSW stabbing attack

A man is dead, and two other people have been injured in a horror stabbing in northern New South Wales.

Emergency crews were responding to a concern for welfare at a home along McKenzie Street in Lismore just after 11pm on Friday, when they found two men and a woman suffering stab wounds.

The two men, aged 24 and 60, and a woman in her 30s, were treated at the scene by paramedics.

Despite their efforts, the 24-year-old man could not be saved and passed away at the home.

The older man and woman were taken to Lismore Base Hospital in stable conditions.

Police have established a crime scene at the property as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Inquiries continue and no further information is available at this time,” NSW Police said in a statement.

All three people are known to each other.
