A man has died and two people have been rescued after a boat capsized off Sydney’s Northern Beaches this morning.
Emergency services were called to Long Reef off Anzac Parade at Collaroy just after 9am, following reports a boat had overturned, throwing three people overboard.
Upon arrival, rescue crews sadly found the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 60s, floating in the water.

He is yet to be formally identified.
A 33-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy were rescued from rocks nearby and were assessed at the scene by paramedics.
They have since been taken to Northern Beaches Hospital.
“Police have been told the older man and child were wearing life jackets at the time,” NSW police said in a statement.
Investigations are continuing.
